PlayerVox OverCrow publication rules
Version 1 · In force from: October 13, 2026
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These rules apply to every widget and listing in the PlayerVox OverCrow
catalog. They are part of the creator agreement. Reviewers cite them by
number, for example "rule 4.2". A number never changes: a dropped rule stays
listed as "removed". The examples use the fictitious publisher nova.
1. Fair play
1.1 No cheating: no advantage that a game's rules forbid.
1.2 Follow each game's rules on third-party tools.
1.3 Never show what a game hides from the player.
1.4 Never play or automate in the player's place.
1.5 Never a tool to harass, expose or track players.
2. Honest listing
2.1 The listing says what the widget really does, without exaggeration.
2.2 The preview shows the real widget.
2.3 Network use is stated: which services, and why.
2.4 Any account or paid subscription needed elsewhere is stated.
2.5 Each permission's justification is true and precise.
2.6 Release notes list the real changes, new permissions and routes included.
2.7 The category and the games (at most 5) match the widget.
2.8 The license matches the package's LICENSE file.
2.9 The support contact works.
2.10 If your license requires giving the sources to whoever receives the widget (GPL, AGPL, MPL…), the listing links to these sources.
3. Data and privacy
3.1 Collect only what the widget's stated purpose needs.
3.2 A widget that uses the network has a privacy policy, linked in its listing: what is sent, to whom, why, for how long, and how to delete it.
3.3 No hidden collection: nothing leaves the widget that the listing and the policy do not mention.
3.4 No tracking, fingerprinting, profiling or sale of data.
3.5 Never ask for a password. Ask for another service's key only if that service requires it, and send it only there.
4. Network and resources
4.1 Each network route serves the stated purpose and is justified.
4.2 At most one call per minute and per route, unless PlayerVox accepts
the justification and the service allows it. Example: nova.lol-timers
refreshes once a minute.
4.3 Follow the terms and quotas of the services you call.
4.4 No artificial traffic, mining or relaying.
4.5 Never slow the game down noticeably.
5. Security
5.1 Send the real sources. No obfuscation, and no generated or minified
code beyond what overcrow-widget produces.
5.2 Included third-party code stays readable and keeps its license.
5.3 Never get around the sandbox, the permissions or the player's consent. Report a flaw to PlayerVox privately.
5.4 No malicious code or hidden feature. Load data from the network, never code or a switch that turns on unreviewed behaviour.
5.5 No secret in a widget: the published package is public.
6. Ownership and impersonation
6.1 Use only what you own or may use: code, images, fonts, sounds, texts.
6.2 Never pass for another creator, a game, a game publisher, a brand, PlayerVox or OverCrow.
6.3 Name a game only to say what the widget works with ("timers for game name"). Never "official", and no game logo, without written permission.
6.4 Claim only domains and identities you control.
6.5 No copies. A derivative follows the original license, credits it and adds a real difference.
7. Advertising and monetization
7.1 No advertising: no ads, banners, sponsored messages or affiliate links.
7.2 No payment: no purchase, subscription, paid unlock or paywall.
7.3 Your publisher page may link to your website, or to a support page (donations).
7.4 The rules of this section change only with a new creator agreement that you accept.
8. Decisions, delays and appeals
8.1 A person approves every version and listing change before publication. A category change needs no review. Automatic checks refuse an invalid submission at once, with the reason.
8.2 Full review, target 5 business days: first publication, or a new permission, network route or capability.
8.3 Quick review, target 2 business days: any other update or listing change.
8.4 The delay pauses while the review waits for you.
8.5 Publication after approval, target 24 hours, counted on business days.
8.6 Every remark cites a rule. Every request for changes, refusal, removal or suspension gives its reasons.
8.7 One appeal per decision, within six months, in the portal. PlayerVox re-examines the whole decision and answers with its reasons, target 7 calendar days.
8.8 If players are at risk, PlayerVox may suspend a widget or a version at once, without notice. You are told at once; the full reasons follow as soon as it is safe.
8.9 Serious or repeated breaches can suspend the publisher.
8.10 Anyone can report a widget from its page. PlayerVox examines every report.
Delays are targets, not guarantees. Business days: Monday to Friday, except public holidays in France.
9. Content
9.1 Nothing illegal, in the widget or its listing.
9.2 Nothing hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or gratuitously violent.
