PlayerVox OverCrow Creator Agreement
Version 1 · In force from: October 13, 2026
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This agreement sets what you and PlayerVox commit to when you publish widgets for PlayerVox OverCrow. It exists in English and in French.
The agreement in six points
The essentials in six points. The full text below is what counts.
Your widgets stay yours
You keep all your rights and choose your license.
No exclusivity
You can distribute them elsewhere, whenever you want.
Confidential sources
Read only for the review, sometimes with an AI's help, unless you refuse. Every reading by a reviewer is shown to you.
Reasoned decisions
Every refusal or removal is explained, with an appeal.
Your commitment
You hold the rights to your code and follow the publication rules.
Free today
Publishing costs nothing. PlayerVox offers sponsored promotion. Paid widgets will come later, with a commission. Any change is announced 30 days ahead.
1. Who we are and the words we use
1.1 PlayerVox, "we" or "us": Valhallab SASU, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Créteil trade and companies register under number 987 488 228, whose registered office is at 17 rue des Orvilliers, 94320 Thiais, France. Valhallab publishes PlayerVox and PlayerVox OverCrow.
1.2 You: the publisher created in the creator portal, and the person who accepts this agreement for it. If you accept for a company or another organization, you confirm that you may bind it.
1.3 Other words:
- PlayerVox OverCrow ("OverCrow"): the PlayerVox game overlay application, its Control Center and its widget catalog.
- Portal: the creator space at
creators.playervox.com. - Widget: a widget you submit, with its sources, its package, its assets and its listing.
- Sources: the files you upload for a version of a widget.
- Package: the file PlayerVox builds from your sources and distributes to players.
- Listing: what players see about a widget: its name (taken from the manifest), description, preview, category, games, license, support, privacy policy, release notes and publisher.
- Catalog: the signed list of widgets that OverCrow installs from.
- Review: the checks PlayerVox makes on a version or a listing before publication, and on a published widget after a report or a security incident.
- Publication rules: the numbered rules for widgets and listings. They are part of this agreement.
2. Accepting this agreement and its versions
2.1 You accept this agreement by ticking the box in the portal when you create your publisher. Before you confirm, you can review and correct your details. We record the version, the date, your account and your publisher. The text of each version stays available in the portal and on overcrow.playervox.com, so you can save or print it.
2.2 You must be an adult under the law of your country. A minor can publish if a parent or other legal guardian accepts this agreement on their behalf.
2.3 Each version of this agreement has a number and a date. Except under 2.5, a new version never applies to you until you accept it in the portal.
2.4 We announce a new version by e-mail and in the portal at least 30 days before you need it to submit again. Until you accept it, your published widgets stay online under the version you accepted. To submit a new widget or a new version, you accept the current version.
2.5 If the law forces a change, or an urgent security risk requires one, the change can apply sooner. We tell you why. Such a change never adds a fee and never widens the license of section 3. You can end this agreement at any time (section 11).
3. Your rights and the license you give us
3.1 You keep all your rights in your widgets, their sources, their listing, your name and your logo. Nothing in this agreement transfers them to us.
3.2 You choose your widget's license: "proprietary, all rights reserved", or any SPDX license. Your license applies between you and the players. Whatever it is, you allow every player to install and use your widget in OverCrow, free of charge.
3.3 You give PlayerVox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, only to:
- host and store your sources and packages;
- build the package from your sources (copy, assemble and compact them as
the
overcrow-widgettool does), and make the technical copies needed to check, review, sign and deliver it, caches included; - distribute the package to OverCrow users through the catalog, and let them install and use it in OverCrow;
- display the widget, its listing, its preview, your publisher name and your logo in OverCrow, on overcrow.playervox.com and on playervox.com;
- promote OverCrow and its catalog with the listing, the preview, your publisher name and your logo.
You can ask us to stop using your widget in our promotion: we stop in our new communications.
3.4 We do not sell your widget, charge players for it, claim it as ours, or
change what its code does. The build is the one of the public
overcrow-widget tool, which you can run yourself. We may resize or crop
the preview and format the listing for display, without changing their
meaning.
3.5 No exclusivity. You can publish your widgets anywhere else, at any time, under any terms.
3.6 The license starts with your first submission. It lasts while a version of the widget is in review or in the catalog, and for storage as long as section 5.5 allows. When the widget leaves the catalog:
- new installations stop with the next catalog publication;
- players keep the copies they already installed, under your license and the permission of section 3.2, unless you ask us to stop them or we stop them for security reasons;
- signed catalogs already published stay as they are;
- we keep what the law or a security investigation requires, for that purpose only.
4. Your commitments
4.1 You hold all the rights needed for everything in your widget and its listing: code, images, fonts, sounds, texts, names and logos. Third-party components are under licenses that allow this distribution, and you keep their notices.
4.2 Your widget and its listing follow the publication rules, the law, and the rules of the games they are for.
4.3 What you tell us is accurate and up to date: the listing, the justification of each permission, the privacy policy and your contact e-mail.
4.4 If your widget uses the network, you publish a privacy policy and follow it. You are responsible for the data your servers receive.
4.5 You give players a working support contact.
4.6 You protect your account and your publish keys. You tell us at once if one of them may be compromised.
4.7 If someone claims that your widget breaches their rights or the law because of what you supplied, you help us answer. Within the limits allowed by law, you bear the consequences of your own breach.
5. Your sources stay confidential
5.1 Each version comes with its sources. They are mandatory and private. They are kept in a private storage that no one reaches without a temporary link issued by PlayerVox.
5.2 Only PlayerVox reviewers read your sources, and only for the review: the review of a version or a listing, and the security of players after a report or an incident. Our automatic build and checks also process them, without anyone reading them. The map built from your sources turns error positions into files and lines for your statistics (section 8.1).
For the review, a reviewer may have your sources analyzed by Claude, Anthropic's artificial intelligence tool. We switch off training when the service allows it, but we cannot guarantee that Anthropic will never use them for its models. If you refuse, write to us: your reviews will be done without AI.
5.3 Every reading by a person is logged: who, when and for which review. The portal shows you this log.
5.4 We never publish or sell your sources. Only our hosting providers, under confidentiality obligations, and the analysis tool of section 5.2 receive them. We use them only for the purposes of this section, and we never train an artificial intelligence model with them. If a court or an authority lawfully orders us to hand them over, we tell you, unless the law forbids it.
5.5 We keep your sources while the widget exists in the portal, those of refused or withdrawn versions included. We delete them 90 days after the widget is deleted, by you or by us, unless the law or a security investigation requires them. Its packages, build reports, maps, previews, uploads, access log, review threads, decisions, appeals and publish keys are deleted at the same time.
5.6 The published package is public: anyone who installs the widget gets its code as built. Never put a secret in a widget.
6. Review, decisions and appeals
6.1 Before the review, automatic checks verify each submission: format, size, build and permissions. A submission that fails them is refused at once, with the reason; you fix it and submit again. Then a person at PlayerVox reviews every version and every listing change before publication. Nothing is published without that approval. You change the category of a widget without review.
6.2 We review within a reasonable time. Our targets, in business days (Monday to Friday, except public holidays in France):
| Step | Target |
|---|---|
| Full review: first publication, or a new permission, network route or capability | 5 business days |
| Quick review: any other update, or a listing change | 2 business days |
| Publication after approval | 24 hours, counted on business days |
| Answer to an appeal | 7 calendar days |
These are targets, not guarantees. The delay is paused while the review waits for you.
6.3 Every remark cites a numbered publication rule. Every request for changes, refusal, removal or suspension states its reasons. The message gives the measure and how long it lasts, the facts, whether they come from a report, the rule or law concerned, any use of automated tools, and how to appeal.
6.4 We can refuse a version or a listing, or remove a published widget, only for a breach of this agreement, of the publication rules or of the law, or when this agreement ends (section 11). We can suspend your publisher only for a serious or repeated breach. We tell you the reasons before the measure takes effect, or at the latest when it does.
6.5 Security suspension. When players are at risk (malicious code, a compromised key, a data leak), we can suspend a widget or a version at once, without notice. We tell you at the same time, and we give the full reasons as soon as giving them no longer puts players at risk. A suspension stops the copies already installed.
6.6 Appeal. You can appeal each decision once, within six months, in the portal. A person at PlayerVox examines the whole decision again and answers you with its reasons. Your other remedies, before the courts included, remain open.
6.7 Anyone can report a widget. If a report leads to a decision about your widget, we tell you the reasons. We do not give you the identity of the person who reported, unless the law requires it.
6.8 Review is not a certification. It does not make PlayerVox responsible for your widget.
7. Money
7.1 Today, publishing is free: PlayerVox charges no fee and takes no commission, to you or to players.
7.2 Today, widgets carry no advertising and no payment (publication rules, rules 7.1 and 7.2). PlayerVox adds no advertising to your widgets or listings.
7.3 PlayerVox offers paid promotion in the catalog, always labeled as sponsored (section 8.4). Its price and terms are in the offer, which you accept when you buy it.
7.4 Paid widgets will come later. PlayerVox will then take a commission on each sale. Its rate will be set by the version of this agreement that opens them.
7.5 PlayerVox may change its offer, for example with other paid services, or with limits (number of widgets, submissions, package size) and a paid plan beyond them. Each change comes with a new version of this agreement, announced at least 30 days ahead (section 2.4). Nothing is charged to you unless you chose it.
8. Statistics, ratings and visibility
8.1 The portal shows you anonymous statistics about your widgets: daily active players, active installations and errors traced to your sources. They are trends, not exact counts.
8.2 Players rate widgets from 0 to 100. You see the average and the spread by rank, hidden below 5 ratings. You never see who installed, used or rated a widget. Members of your publisher cannot rate its widgets.
8.3 You never try to identify players from these figures, and you never manipulate ratings or statistics.
8.4 Catalog order. In OverCrow and on overcrow.playervox.com, widgets are listed in alphabetical order. Filters (category, game) only narrow the list, like a search in OverCrow. On the site, a search ranks the results by how closely they match the text searched: the ID and the name first, then the games, the category, the publisher and the description. Ratings, installations, publication date and publisher, PlayerVox included, never change the order. Paid promotion (section 7.3) shows a widget in a separate spot, labeled "Sponsored", in addition to its usual place; it does not change the order of the other widgets.
8.5 PlayerVox publishes its own widgets in the same catalog, the same way. Its built-in widgets differ in four ways: they carry the PlayerVox mark, they are installed on a new profile, they receive their permissions by default, and they update on their own. An update that asks for a new permission always waits for the player's consent.
9. Your personal data
PlayerVox processes your account, your publisher's details, your sources, the review threads and the access log as described in the PlayerVox OverCrow privacy policy. Your contact e-mail is never displayed.
10. Liability
10.1 You are responsible for your widget toward players: its content, its behaviour, your servers and your privacy policy.
10.2 PlayerVox provides the portal and the catalog, free of charge today (section 7). We may interrupt them for maintenance or security. We do not guarantee that a widget will be published or stay listed, except under the conditions of this agreement.
10.3 Within the limits allowed by law, PlayerVox is liable only for direct damage caused by its own fault. Nothing in this agreement limits a liability that the law does not allow to limit, nor your rights as a consumer if you act as one.
11. Ending this agreement
11.1 You can end this agreement at any time: withdraw your widgets, then delete your publisher in the portal.
11.2 PlayerVox can end it for a serious or repeated breach, with its reasons, under section 6. In any other case, PlayerVox gives you at least 30 days' notice, with its reasons.
11.3 After the end, sections 3.6, 4.7, 5, 10 and 12 keep applying.
12. Law and disputes
12.1 French law applies to this agreement. If you act as a consumer, you also keep the protection that the law of your country of residence gives you.
12.2 Before going to court, write to us: most problems are solved by the appeal or a message.
12.3 If you act as a consumer, the courts competent under the law apply, those of your place of residence included.
12.4 If you act for your business, the courts within the jurisdiction of PlayerVox's registered office (Créteil, France) have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Contact and final provisions
13.1 We write to you in the portal and at your publisher's contact e-mail. Write to us at contact@valhallab.com, in English or in French. It is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act.
13.2 If a clause is invalid, the others remain in force. Not exercising a right is not giving it up.
13.3 PlayerVox may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over OverCrow. We tell you, and you can end the agreement.
13.4 The English and French versions have the same value. In case of difference, the reading most favorable to you applies.
